Today, I went for first time to have a casual meal after work around 6pm, the restaurant was busy but had a really good enviroment, sat at the sushi train, had an ice cold Saporo, and several sushi plates, all made in front of me, fresh and tasty! The waitresses were happy to serve even if they were busy. Def stopping by again.
Lovely service staff welcoming you into the restaurant. It was a busy nice atmosphere. However all downhill after.
I ordered the salmon teriyaki meal for dinner which was $27. I thought it would be a normal sized piece of salmon for this price but instead I was given a 0.5cm flattened very small piece of salmon. Also no visible teriyaki sauce. Nice little salad. I felt disappointed that they thought this acceptable for this price. I mentioned it straight away to the blonde lady serving me but she didn’t care. I got one sushi plate which tasted a bit old and a green tea which was nice.
After dining they have a sign that you have to carry your sushi plate across the restaurant to the billing table. I just told them what colour plate I got and the man looked across the room to check.
This is poor service expecting customers to carry sushi plates across a restaurant. Never have I ever seen this before. The same blonde lady came across and put the sushi plate on the billing table with an attitude. I said I had already let the man know the colour plate.
I will not be going back here as the lack of pride in their food and service has made me feel like I wasted $36. I won’t be recommending it to my Uber passengers either when they want to know my places I recommend.
Decent lunch today here, though a few tiny improvements could be made. For example, sachets of wasabi can never compete with fresh or at least, if packaged, it could be served alongside dishes as they come as opposed to a table condiment sitting in the sun all day. Aside from that though, the food came out super quick as expected from a sushi bar and it was tasty. The 4pc rolls are extremely cheap (4-5$) and are packed full with fresh filling. I tried the spicy chicken roll - which unfortunately wasn’t spicy at all but nonetheless delicious - and the crispy skin tuna deluxe roll. That was great! My partner opted for the sashimi mixed plate which cost about 30 bucks and had a mixture of tuna, salmon & so on. He said it was fresh. The pork gyoza were also nice but noticeably lighter and crispier than most others I’ve had which I wasn’t sure if I liked or not. Regardless, the filling of pork was generous and succulent. The total of the bill was 100$ which I thought to be quite reasonable.
Sapporo beer on tap is always a must when eating Japanese so that was good to see too. The menu was pretty extensive for those who didn’t want to opt for sushi including a variety of Japanese tapas options, salads, noodle bowls and curries. We would definitely return.
We have been coming here for the past three years and it has been amazing everytime. The staff is always super friendly and very helpful. We ordered takeaway two days ago and had our favourite seafood combo deluxe roll, a few sushi rolls and some tapas. The food was incredibly fresh, delicious and very well priced especially for Noosa. We will definitely keep coming here!
Busy mid Jan Tuesday night. Tuna tasted & looked borderline fresh, Salmon was very fatty - far off sushi quality. Other dishes weren’t much better neither. Sorry, but certainly can’t recommend.
The service was good. The food is average. Katsu curry was definitely not a traditional Japanese curry sauce. The sushi flavour was less than satisfying. They use Chinese horseradish plastic sachet wasabi(a lot do these days), and the price is more than I would expect even for Noosa. The beer isn’t cold.
I’ve just updated my review to lower the overall rating, and the service. Yeah they were busy, but we dined in, and then we ordered some takeaway for friends. One of the dishes came out almost instantly while we were eating and then we waited 18 minutes for the katsu curry and when I went up to enquire, they said they were waiting for the other dish(which we already had). I may sound picky, but this is an honest review and I definitely do not recommend this place if you have any kind of standard for sushi.
Had lunch here and tried a few dishes. The best was the okonomiyaki which was well cooked and deliciously crispy. The karaage chicken was crispy but a tad bland or underseasoned. The duck ramen was also very nice and I was told they make …
Decent fast Japanese. Recommend calling for a table even during the week as this place is super busy. …
